Are you getting ready? Have you made your list and checked it twice? It will not be long now until we step out of one world into another. Oh, and what an awesome world it is! You are going to fall in love with Kenya! I am praying that God will use us in amazing ways! It was so nice to meet you all at our orientation meeting. I am looking forward to sharing this walk with you! Blessings, blessings, and more blessings!

How exciting to be making preparations to share in a wonderful experience with all of you who have signed up for the July Kenya mission. I'm making Learn/Listen/Observe my first assignment for the Kenya adventure and have been getting the mental picture of the three "See No/Hear No/Say No" monkeys - but it's working for me! With a little discipline I'll make it through the first day (it's already 8 a.m.!) and be able to start on Serve/Honor/Attend in a couple of weeks. Pray, serve and love. your Kenya Team Sister, jane
ReplyDeleteWhere in the World is Nakuru?
ReplyDeleteLook to the left and inland of the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean; or north and slightly west of the large island of Madagascar; or almost directly due south of the Holy Land. General location - the intersection of 35 degrees longitude and the equator. Most importantly though, Nakuru and those who work in and visit the clinic are carried around in the hearts of anyone who has traveled there, and I am soon to be one of those lucky sojourners.
Our team has begun a month-long spiritual and mental Bible study to help us prepare for our work, worship and fellowship with the Kenyans. It is with excitement of following Jesus' Great Commission to "Go into all the world..." and some concern for our families we will be leaving at home that we begin our mission before ever leaving the U.S. But knowing that prayers are sent before, with and around us we can be at peace with this calling. jane
